There are days when you move from one thing to the next without noticing much of what happens in between. You make your coffee while checking your phone, walk somewhere while thinking about what comes next, or finish one task and immediately start another.
This practice is an invitation to interrupt that pattern for a few minutes. Not by changing your plans or adding another task to your day, but by giving your attention to what is already happening around you and inside you.
You may notice something you normally miss. A sound, a sensation, a feeling, or even the fact that you’re more tired or distracted than you realised. There’s no need to make anything different. The point is to see what’s there.
