A meeting invite lands right in the middle of something you were finally getting into. Before you know it, your attention feels scattered, thin, and oddly exhausted.
Most of us have been taught that multitasking is the mark of a capable professional. The more you juggle, the more valuable you must be. And for a while, that belief can feel true. You’re busy. You’re needed. You’re in demand.
But underneath that constant motion, many of us carry something quieter. A low-grade fatigue. A sense that we’re working all the time but not always working well. A feeling that meaning has been replaced by motion.
